Keen Systems designs and develops responsive business websites in Sri Lanka, bringing clear content, thoughtful design and reliable engineering together.
A business website should help visitors understand what you offer, see credible examples and take the next step. We plan the content, design the experience and build the publishing tools around that journey, with performance and search accessibility considered from the beginning.
A published tourism website connecting Sri Lanka destination discovery with direct enquiries. The project records the design, responsive experience and development scope.
Scope, responsibilities and acceptance checks are agreed together. You review useful progress as the project takes shape.
01
Understand the audience
Define the offer, customers, locations, existing content and the action each important page should support.
02
Plan pages & content
Agree navigation, page outlines, useful answers, proof and redirects before visual design begins.
03
Design & build
Review responsive layouts with realistic copy, then implement the pages and agreed content tools.
04
Check & launch
Check forms, links, mobile layouts, metadata, indexing controls and release configuration before handover.
05
Measure & maintain
Review qualified enquiries, content accuracy and technical health; agree ongoing changes and support separately.
Before you begin
Plan a website with a clear purpose.
What is included in business website development?
An agreed website scope can include content planning, responsive design, page development, content management, enquiry forms, technical SEO and launch checks. Copywriting, photography, ecommerce and integrations should be explicitly included in the proposal.
Planning considerations
Start with your audience and the questions they need answered before they contact you.
List required pages, content owners, languages, integrations and who approves each stage.
Build a working visitor journey from a service page to an enquiry and the team's follow-up process.
Unprepared content and unclear integration requirements can change the scope; review both before confirming delivery dates.
Check that visitors can find the right service, understand the offer and complete the intended action on mobile and desktop.
How do SEO, AEO and GEO fit a website project?
SEO supports search discovery. AEO focuses on clear answers to customer questions. GEO considers how generative search systems understand and reference content. They share useful foundations: accessible pages, accurate business facts, direct answers and evidence for claims.
Planning considerations
Publish specific service information and original project evidence that helps customers make a decision.
Map each page to a distinct customer need and identify the questions that a real enquiry would ask.
Use descriptive headings, crawlable links, concise metadata and structured data that matches visible content.
No website implementation can guarantee a search position, featured answer or citation from an AI service.
Review indexed pages, relevant search queries, qualified enquiries and observable referral traffic instead of relying on visibility promises.
Can an existing website be redesigned without losing useful content?
Yes. Begin with an inventory of existing URLs, content, enquiries and integrations. Preserve useful pages, map changed URLs to relevant replacements and validate forms and search controls before the new site launches.
Planning considerations
A redesign must account for the value already held in existing content and incoming links.
Record the current page structure, business information, analytics access and required editing workflows.
Agree a redirect map, preserve important content and test the replacement on a separate review environment.
Removing useful pages or leaving staging indexing restrictions in production can disrupt discovery.
Check redirect destinations, important URLs, submitted forms and search coverage after launch.

Practical answers
Questions before starting.
Share your requirements for a proposal that makes scope, cost, timing and ongoing ownership clear.
How much does a website cost in Sri Lanka?
The cost depends on the page count, content work, design requirements, CMS, languages and integrations. Keen Systems scopes these requirements before providing a quotation. Domain registration, hosting, paid services and ongoing maintenance should be identified separately in that quotation.
How long does website design and development take?
A delivery schedule is agreed after reviewing the scope, content readiness and approval process. A focused business website and a multilingual catalogue with integrations require different amounts of work; we confirm milestones in the proposal rather than promise one timeline for every site.
Will my website work on mobile phones?
Yes. Responsive layouts, readable content, usable navigation and touch-friendly forms are part of the proposed website approach. The agreed browser and device coverage is checked before launch.
Can my team update pages and articles?
Yes, when content management is included in the scope. We agree which content your team needs to edit, the roles permitted to publish it and the guidance required for day-to-day updates.
Does the website include SEO, AEO and GEO?
The website scope can include technical SEO, structured service content, direct customer answers and relevant structured data. Ongoing content publishing, competitive research and search reporting are separate activities to agree. Rankings and AI citations cannot be guaranteed.
Can you work with businesses outside Kaduwela?
Yes. Keen Systems is based in Kaduwela, Sri Lanka and can discuss local or remote website delivery. Communication, content review, payments and support arrangements are agreed for each engagement.
Can a website connect to Keen AI or an existing ERP?
A website can be scoped with a knowledge assistant, enquiry workflow or API integration. We first confirm the approved information, system access and handover behaviour. AI should not make unsupported promises or expose private business data.
